Overview

In this role, you will lead Thales UK’s Industrial Process Engineering capability across multiple sites, guiding strategy and transformation to boost efficiency and manufacturing readiness. You will partner with Operations, Engineering, Programmes and Supply Chain to align processes, tools and people with growth and performance goals. The role focuses on driving continuous improvement, industrial transformation and robust industrialisation for complex engineering environments. This is a chance to shape industrial strategy in a global technology leader and foster a culture of innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop Industrial Process Engineering teams across multiple UK sites, fostering a high-performing, collaborative and inclusive culture
  • Define and implement industrial strategies, processes and capability development plans to improve operational efficiency and readiness
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, lean manufacturing practices and industrial transformation projects
  • Act as the industrial authority at programme reviews and bid gates to ensure robust industrialisation and cost-effective delivery
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support business objectives

Key requirements

  • Significant leadership experience in complex manufacturing, industrial or engineering environments
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and delivering large-scale industrial improvement or transformation programmes
  • Strong knowledge of lean methodologies and continuous improvement techniques; familiarity with ERP, MRP and MES systems
  • Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management across all organisational levels
  • A degree in an engineering, manufacturing or related discipline
  • Experience across full product lifecycle, defence manufacturing or highly regulated industries is advantageous
  • Security Clearance requirement: UK Eyes Only, SC clearance or ability to obtain it
