Responsibilities
- Lead the definition and development of spacecraft avionics architectures
- Make technical decisions and provide SME input across avionics disciplines
- Define avionics requirements aligned with system-level goals
- Support integration of onboard computing, communications, power, and data handling
- Coordinate avionics interfaces across multidisciplinary teams
- Conduct engineering trade studies, risk assessments, and investigations
- Support verification, validation, qualification, and acceptance activities
- Contribute to design reviews and customer-facing technical discussions
- Mentor and support junior engineers
Key requirements
- Significant avionics engineering experience for spacecraft, satellites, launch systems, or space platforms
- Strong understanding of spacecraft avionics architectures and subsystem integration
- Experience leading technical activities within complex programmes
- Knowledge of onboard data handling, flight computers, communications, and electrical architectures
- Experience with requirements management, verification, and validation
- Strong systems engineering principles and full product lifecycle understanding
- Experience managing technical interfaces across multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to produce and review high-quality technical documentation
