Senior Project Engineering Manager, AMZL UK/IE Field Engineering

Overview

In this role you will lead complex deployment programs for Amazon Logistics (AMZL) across the UK/IE region, focusing on launching and retrofitting automated and material handling technology. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage budgets and timelines, and deliver engineering solutions that scale with the network. You’ll engage senior stakeholders to balance trade-offs and drive improvements, shaping how delivery stations operate. This is a hands-on, high-impact role at the heart of a customer-centric logistics transformation.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex, concurrent deployment projects in AMZL delivery stations across UK/IE
• Own programs related to launches and retrofits of Automation, MHE, or building improvements
• Lead full project lifecycle from concept and budgeting to handover
• Handle project phases independently with resource, capex, and timeline constraints
• Interact with senior management to provide trade-off solutions
• Identify and drive process or standard improvements across the country or Europe

Key requirements

• Experience in automated or non-automated material handling equipment
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Strong technical background in relevant engineering fields
• Experience with project or program management in a similar setting
• Lean Management, Six Sigma or operations engineering exposure (preferred)
