Overview
As Director of International Communications, you lead the global storytelling for Databricks across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. You translate business momentum into locally resonant news while preserving a consistent global narrative. You will partner with regional leaders to shape press, social, and internal communications, and guide a multi-market PR program that elevates Databricks as a leader in data and AI. This role combines strategic influence with hands-on leadership to scale our international communications footprint.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the international communications strategy across Europe, Asia, and the Americas (13 countries)
- Identify and drive market-specific news opportunities related to expansions, investments, new offices, customer milestones, and partnerships
- Lead and mentor regional communications leads and coordinate with U.S.-based comms and product leaders
- Manage PR agency relationships across all covered markets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with regional media and senior business leaders
- Collaborate with field marketing and country managers to surface compelling stories for local and global audiences
- Balance global storytelling consistency with local market relevance across time zones and cultures
Key requirements
- 8–12 years in international, regional, or global communications
- experience in enterprise software, cloud, or AI
- proven track record building regional press strategies and securing coverage across multiple markets

- strong relationship-building skills with senior leaders and field teams
