Overview
In this role you will coordinate plant, fleet and equipment needs across Scottish Power T&D projects, ensuring timely access and cost-efficient operation. You will partner with project teams and suppliers to forecast, plan, mobilise, utilise and recover plant resources while identifying cost savings. The position supports budgets, procurement, and operational issues, with regional fleet and PPE input as needed. You’ll work across sites to build relationships and drive continuous improvement in plant operations, enabling smooth project execution.

Responsibilities
- Act as main contact for plant-related matters across T&D projects
- Forecast, plan and coordinate plant requirements with project teams
- Monitor plant utilisation and maximise efficiency while reducing unnecessary spend
- Support specification, sourcing and mobilisation of plant, equipment and vehicles
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, suppliers and plant providers to resolve operations issues
- Support project budgets, cost recovery, damage reduction initiatives and hire management
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and continuous improvement in plant operations
- Visit project sites to build relationships and provide operational support
- Provide regional support on fleet and PPE-related matters when required
Key requirements
- Experience coordinating plant, fleet or equipment requirements in construction, utilities, infrastructure, rail, civils or energy sectors
- Knowledge of plant hire, mobilisation, utilisation and off-hire processes
- Strong organisational and planning skills to manage multiple project demands
- Experience working with operational project teams and stakeholder management
- Commercial awareness and understanding of cost management and budget control
- Proactive problem solving and continuous improvement mentality
- Willingness to travel regularly across Scotland
