3DX Solution Architect – Design tools for Engineering

Overview

In this role you will develop 3DExperience solutions for the future PLM Single Aisle New Generation aircraft program, focusing on product structure and system installation. You will work within the Product & Simulation team to enable a single, collaborative design process and a fully validated virtual representation of the product. You will contribute to end-to-end PLM in a SAFe environment, translating complex business needs into IT requirements and designing solutions aligned with Enterprise Architecture. This position offers cross-functional collaboration, a focus on digital twins, and opportunities to influence major aerospace programs in a sustainable, digital-driven context.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the End-to-End PLM Portfolio within the SAFe environment and contribute to the Portfolio Roadmap.
• Conduct discovery meetings to translate business needs into functional and IT requirements, including change management impacts.
• Deliver framing and designs for application and infrastructure components in line with Enterprise Architecture guidelines.
• Identify opportunities for business transformation, process automation, and functional improvements with compliant IT solutions.
• Support the IT Product Manager and serve as the liaison between Product Management and technical resources.
• Define, develop, and document specifications and future requirements across the full development lifecycle.
• Contribute to engineering processes for Product Structure and System Installation, including design authoring, tolerancing, kinematics, and digital twin scopes.
• Ensure solutions enable a fully validated virtual representation of the product.

Key requirements

• Proven experience in functional architecture, project management, solution engineering, or related field.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge in Engineering Design, Manufacturing, Support and Services, or related domains such as Manufacturing Engineering, DMU, PLM, Configuration Management, Quality, and Architecture.
• Knowledge of IT tools customization and architecture, IT strategy alignment, and IT product design and development.
