Overview

In this role you will provide pragmatic employment law guidance across the organisation, supporting complex employee relations and cross-border expansion in Europe. You will collaborate with People and Legal Teams, external counsel and stakeholders to align legal strategy with business goals. The position offers a chance to shape policies, mitigate risk, and influence how Dojo grows in the UK and Europe. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that values ethics, transparency, and practical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clear, pragmatic advice on employment law matters, including ACAS and Employment Tribunal claims, aligned with business values
  • Draft and review contracts and People Team policies and handbooks to meet legal standards and reflect business tone
  • Manage and advise on employment litigation, coordinating with external counsel for favorable outcomes
  • Lead employment law projects with timely, business-focused legal input to support goals
  • Deliver training and guidance on employment law, internal policies and best practice
  • Support cross-border expansion across Europe by collaborating with business teams

Key requirements

  • Qualified lawyer with 3+ years of post-qualification experience in UK and Europe employment law
  • Strong knowledge of TUPE, Employment Tribunal procedures, UK/EMEA employment law and IR35 regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, ability to present complex legal information clearly
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration across teams and geographies
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
