Responsibilities

• Prepare trust accounts, tax returns and IHT forms
• Advise clients on tax and legal implications of creating trusts and appointment out of trusts
• Manage trust administration (TRS, CRS, FATCA)
• Review trust tax returns and accounts; provide feedback and training
• Prepare accounts, tax returns and IHT forms for estates and related documents
• Ensure compliance with ICAEW probate regulations and identify potential contentious matters
• Maintain technical knowledge on topical estate matters
• Prepare complex personal Self-Assessment Tax Returns
• Conduct technical tax research, draft reports and tax advice letters; review complex tax returns

Key requirements

• Experience in Trusts & Estates within an accountancy or professional services firm
• Understanding of inheritance tax, capital gains tax, and relevant tax laws
• Knowledge of trust administration, estate planning, and succession planning
• Excellent communication skills; ability to liaise with clients and colleagues at all levels
• Professional qualifications such as STEP or ACCA/ACA/CTA
