Director of Business Systems

Overview

In this role you lead a multi-year transformation to consolidate legacy ERP systems into a single IFS Cloud platform while shaping the future enterprise architecture. You will manage governance and roadmaps, drive integration and data standardisation, and ensure secure, compliant operations during the migration. You act as the strategic advisor across internal teams and external partners, delivering measurable improvements in data visibility and landscape simplification. This role offers impact by enabling a unified, scalable enterprise platform aligned with business priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the transition and consolidation of legacy ERP environments into a unified IFS Cloud platform
• Own long-term strategy, governance, and roadmap evolution for maximum system value
• Define future-state enterprise architecture aligning core applications with business strategy
• Oversee integration architecture, data flows, and system connectivity during and after migration
• Drive reporting and analytics through standardised master data across the unified environment
• Maintain security, stability, compliance, and alignment with business needs during transition
• Lead the internal business systems team and coordinate with external partners (vendors, SI)
• Act as strategic advisor for complex ERP, enterprise architecture, and application challenges

Key requirements

• ERP platform experience with IFS implementations or IFS Cloud
• Proven leadership in large-scale ERP consolidation/transformation
• Understanding of enterprise architecture, application mapping, and landscape simplification
• Extensive experience with integrated systems, APIs, middleware, and data migration
• Exposure to cloud-based ERP upgrades and evergreen release cycles
• Familiarity with reporting, data standardisation, and analytics tools
• Strong focus on security, access control, compliance, and risk mitigation
• Experience leading business systems teams and managing relationships with external suppliers and stakeholders
