Overview
In this role you will lead a small residential home for adults with learning disabilities and autism, shaping a safe, well-led environment. You will manage and develop the staff team, uphold safeguarding standards, and ensure care is genuinely person-centred and outcomes-focused. You will drive continuous improvement, maintain CQC compliance, and support recruitment and induction. You will work closely with senior leadership to develop the service, applying positive behaviour support and trauma-informed practice to create calm, nurturing environments. Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop the staff team
- Maintain safeguarding culture and high standards of care
- Ensure support is person-centred and outcomes-focused
- Drive continuous improvement across the service
- Maintain compliance with CQC requirements and legislation
- Support recruitment, induction and development of new colleagues
- Coach and mentor team to build capability and confidence
- Collaborate with senior leadership on service development
Key requirements
- Experience in learning disabilities, autism, complex needs or similar specialist adult care setting
- Management experience within a regulated care service
- Strong safeguarding and CQC knowledge
- Ability to lead a team with person-centred decision-making
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
