Overview
In this role you will design and deliver high-quality computing education within FutureLearn’s Higher Education Services, focusing on Cyber Security and/or Artificial Intelligence. You will create engaging online learning experiences, support student success, and contribute to academic quality and innovation. There may be opportunities to act as a Subject Matter Expert in developing module content. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to uphold institutional standards and drive learner outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Design, prepare, and deliver teaching materials across computing programmes
- Align content and delivery with module objectives and standards
- Apply effective teaching, learning, and assessment strategies
- Deliver engaging online learning experiences with strong digital capabilities
- Set and provide timely feedback on assessments
- Supervise projects and dissertations in Cyber Security and/or AI
- Monitor progress with learner analytics and intervene to support achievement
- Identify learner needs and refer to appropriate support services
- Maintain records of teaching delivery, engagement, and outcomes
- Attend meetings, workshops, and mandatory training
- Possibly develop and review module content as Subject Matter Expert
Key requirements
- PhD, Master’s degree, or substantial industry experience in a relevant computing discipline
- Experience teaching in the UK Higher Education sector
- Proven teaching experience in Cyber Security and/or Artificial Intelligence
- Eligibility for Fellowship of AdvanceHE (or willingness to obtain)
