Financial Manager

Overview

In this Financial Manager role, you will safeguard the financial health of a private residential developer in London. You will work with the development team to monitor costs, prepare project appraisals, and manage due diligence, cash flow, and funding documentation. You will influence live project reporting structures and ensure alignment with the company’s financial strategy. You will engage across development cycles to support profitable delivery and growth, in a dynamic, professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and challenge project cost reporting across land, development, construction, and sales & marketing costs
• Produce detailed financial appraisals for individual projects aligned with the company’s financial strategy
• Conduct due diligence including financial control, monthly cash flow analyses (variances), real-time appraisals, VAT and other taxes
• Prepare draw-down documents for project funding
• Advise on reporting structures to ensure accurate live project reporting
• Perform sales vs build projection analyses (sales rates vs build rates)

Key requirements

• ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified
• 3+ years in a similar role
• good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
• advanced MS Excel skills
