Overview
As HR Advisor you will provide practical guidance across a busy, generalist HR function within a wealth and asset management firm. You’ll support line managers on employee relations, performance, payroll, recruitment, and onboarding while ensuring policy compliance and data accuracy. The role blends BAU with involvement in HR projects, offering exposure to analytics, reporting, and process improvements. A hands-on, discreet team player who is detail-oriented will thrive in a collaborative environment.
Pay / Benefits
- hybrid working (4 days in office, 1 from home)
- salary £45,000–£50,000 per annum
Responsibilities
- Advise line managers on employee relations issues, including policies, performance management, absence management, and occupational health referrals
- Support family-friendly policies such as maternity, paternity, and shared parental leave
- Maintain and update HR policies and ensure adherence across the business
- Manage probationary periods and extensions; support performance management practices and PIPs
- Produce HR analytics and reports for boards and senior management (headcount, turnover, recruitment costs)
- Handle HR invoices and liaise with benefits broker; update pension letters per auto-enrolment rules
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes, liaise with agencies, PSL management, and inductions
- Coordinate and schedule training (external/internal), maintain training records
- Regularly review job descriptions and update HRIS; respond to HR inbox and assist with HR projects
- Assist with remuneration processes and incentive scheme communications
- Perform ad-hoc reporting and updates to HR intranet and organization charts
- Support ad-hoc duties as needed and during team absence
Key requirements
- HR experience in a financial/professional services environment
- Strong understanding of UK employment law
- CIPD Level 5+ or equivalent
- Hands-on, generalist HR experience across BAU and projects
