Client COO Program Management

Overview

In this role you will establish and run a robust governance framework for a portfolio of Client Organisation Projects and Strategic Initiatives. You’ll design tracking mechanisms (KPIs/KRIs) and provide transparent, senior-management insights on progress, risk, and strategic alignment. You will work across cross-functional teams to accelerate delivery, manage dependencies, and embed automation and AI-driven improvements. This is a strategic, data-driven governance position within Citi’s Belfast team, offering the opportunity to shape how complex programs are steered and reported. You’ll partner with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and impactful business benefits.

Responsibilities

• Support management and tracking of a diverse automation program portfolio (process simplification, automation, AI embedding)
• Support management and tracking of Projects and Strategic Initiatives (process simplification & control automation)
• Guide initiative sponsors/leads for successful delivery of deliverables
• Provide senior oversight to in-flight process optimization projects ensuring on-time delivery and benefits
• Identify and resolve roadblocks, manage dependencies, and foster cross-functional collaboration
• Establish and manage a robust risk management framework for process change and project execution
• Create high-quality presentation materials for senior management on status, milestones, risks, and performance
• Design, track, and report KPIs and KRIs to measure effectiveness, efficiency, and risk
• Proactively identify and manage risks and issues with automation projects
• Collaborate across Client Organisation pillars and functions to drive automation agenda
• Maintain proficiency with Citi’s data structures, control frameworks, and reporting tools
• Utilize internal systems: controls data repositories, Investment Request process, iCAPS, Project Tracking System (PTS)

Key requirements

• Extensive governance, risk management, or program oversight experience in financial services
• Proficiency with Citi’s internal data structures, control frameworks, and reporting tools
• Experience with Investment Request process, iCAPS, and PTS for tracking and monitoring
• Strong analytical skills to design and implement KPIs/KRIs
• Experience applying AI, data analytics, and visualization tools for reporting
• Ability to create high-impact PowerPoint presentations for executives
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for senior stakeholder engagement
• Proven ability to work in a complex, matrixed organization and build collaboration
• Strong project and program management with track record of delivering complex initiatives
