Overview
As Electronics Engineer you will design, develop and test embedded RF hardware for offender monitoring devices, shaping the next wave of monitoring technology. You’ll collaborate with the R&D and engineering team to drive product readiness and compliance. The role blends hardware and firmware work, research, and technical support to scale solutions across an international portfolio. You will contribute to IP creation and ensure robust documentation and approvals while staying ahead of technology trends. This is a hands-on opportunity to influence products that improve public safety and community outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Contribute to embedded hardware design and development for offender monitoring equipment
- Work within the embedded development team to identify design process improvements
- Evaluate third‑party software to enhance embedded systems
- Support time‑to‑market for new products
- Develop new IP and protect it through proper documentation
- Keep abreast of relevant technology sectors for current and future products
- Ensure designs are documented, archived, and meet type approval and specifications
- Provide technical support to operations and production for correct manufacture, testing and maintenance
- Provide regular progress updates with time and effort estimates
Key requirements
- Excellent electronic and hardware design skills
- At least 5 years’ experience in low-power, microcontroller-driven wireless systems
- Fundamental firmware knowledge
- Significant Altium product knowledge
- Significant RF knowledge applied in commercial designs
- Knowledge of RF simulation tools
- Familiarity with approvals processes
