Junior Machine Learning Engineer

Overview

In this role you will contribute to Trainline’s AI-driven travel platform by designing and delivering machine learning solutions. You will work with cross-functional teams to turn data into impactful models that enhance search, recommendations, and pricing. You will participate in the ML delivery lifecycle and help scale production systems used by millions of customers. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, data engineers and product managers in cross-functional teams
• Contribute to design and delivery of ML models and AI solutions with measurable impact
• Engage in the ML lifecycle: data exploration, feature engineering, model selection and evaluation
• Help shape data products leveraging Trainline’s datasets
• Contribute to tools and libraries to accelerate ML/AI delivery and workflows
• Participate in the ML/AI community and share learnings

Key requirements

• Good working knowledge of Python and data libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn)
• Background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or similar quantitative discipline
• Some exposure to building or supporting ML models or AI solutions
• Interest in predictive modelling, classification, regression, optimisation, NLP or recommendations
