Quality Engineer

Overview

In this role you will act as a Quality Engineer within the Assurance Department to ensure project quality from tender through close-out. You will work closely with operations and support teams to identify and resolve quality issues and drive improvements. You will develop and review inspection plans, perform verification activities, and support supplier audits to ensure compliance with client specs and ISO 9001. This role offers the chance to shape quality processes and contribute to successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Tender and Project-specific Inspection and Test Plans and Quality Plans aligned with client requirements
• Review Supplier ITPs/QA documentation for compliance (NDE, Welding, Testing)
• Review supplier certification and manufacturing data dossiers
• Conduct verification activities across dimensional, NDT, welding, coating, hydro-testing and functional tests
• Attend and support ISO 9001 internal audits
• Assist external supplier evaluations and capability assessments per client specs/ISO 9001
• Create and drive Non-Conformance and Corrective Action processes
• Support MRB and on-site quality activities
• Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives and analyze quality metrics for improvements
• Coordinate 3rd party inspection activities with agencies and act as QC representative at kick-off/pre-inspection meetings
• Liaise with clients and suppliers on quality requirements
• Perform off-site verification and witness inspections
• Undertake other duties as needed by the Manager of Assurance

Key requirements

• HNC in Engineering or equivalent qualification/experience
• Experience in creating Inspection and Test Plans
• Experience in QC disciplines: dimensional, NDT, welding, coating, hydro-testing, and functional/factory acceptance testing
• Experience with interpretation of engineering drawings
