Overview
As a Client Account Manager for EMEA Alternatives, you will deliver exceptional service to institutional clients investing in alternative strategies, partnering with sales, product, and service teams to form dedicated client teams. You will manage onboarding, respond to requests, and support product launches and regulatory readiness. The role emphasizes client experience, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic project involvement with the Head of Institutional Client Account Management for Alternatives. This is a chance to shape client servicing at scale within a global bank.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate onboarding and ongoing servicing for EMEA institutional clients and third parties, field inquiries, research requests, and provide timely, accurate responses
- Develop deep understanding of each client’s relationship with J.P. Morgan, including global connections with other asset managers and consultants
- Proactively identify and drive improvements to client experience and operational efficiency, implementing changes as needed
- Participate in client meetings and events, including due diligence sessions, to support relationship management and service delivery
- Plan and organize internal business meetings, manage follow-ups and action items, ensure effective cross-team communication
- Support creation and management of team policies, procedures, templates, and data requirements for MIS/KPI reporting
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, internal partners, and third-party service providers
- Support launch of new products and distribution strategies, ensuring regulatory adherence and operational readiness
- Act as key contact for all service-related client matters, partnering with sales teams and global client service colleagues in EMEA, US, and APAC
- Assist in ad hoc projects and research to support business initiatives and strategic goals
Key requirements
- Significant experience (8-10+ years) in asset management or wealth management with client service exposure to institutional clients, ideally with alternatives
- Strong business acumen and ability to communicate confidently with clients and internal stakeholders
- Proven ability to develop client and internal relationships and understand client servicing needs
- Experience coordinating onboarding, managing operational processes, and supporting digital distribution or technology platforms
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and deliver in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail, with strong follow-through, flexibility, and excellent written and verbal English communication
