Contract Manager / Operations Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead the office to set up and run new sites, handling private speculative developments or contracts under the JCT framework. You will nurture existing subcontractor relationships and forge new ones to support project delivery. You will monitor project finances and schedules to ensure on-time, on-budget outcomes. Responsibilities

• Plan and detail project programmes for site teams to avoid delays
• Procure materials cost-effectively and reconcile to prevent delays
• Attend tender handover and deliver pre-start site team meetings
• Maintain a monthly commercial plan and monitor project delivery
• Produce progress reports, cost updates, and forecasts
• Ensure proper commercial engagement of subcontractors
• Implement and review risk management processes and controls
• Hold weekly progress and budget reviews with lookahead programmes
• Chair and record actions from internal and external meetings
• Promote HS&E standards and compliance on site
• Allocate HS&E duties and provide necessary training
• Maintain site and subcontractor documentation and conduct inspections
• Liaise with clients and external customers, reporting progress
• Lead meetings with customers and minimize community impact
