Commissioning Engineer

Overview

As a Commissioning Engineer at Westinghouse, you contribute to the safe commissioning and operation of nuclear plant systems. You will work closely with Operations, Maintenance and Reliability teams to ensure plant readiness and availability. You lead PMPs and oversee the lifecycle from start-up to installation, driving improvements and compliance. Responsibilities

• Oversee frontline engineering services for assigned assets, ensuring safe maintenance and operation aligned with legal and business requirements.
• Prepare, deliver and manage Plant Modification Proposals (PMPs) following formal plant processes from start-up to installation.
• Identify recurring plant problems and coordinate corrective maintenance actions.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, standards and policies, maintaining safety, cost and quality.
• Monitor plant performance through logs and histories; implement improvements.
• Conduct regular walk downs to assess condition, performance and environmental impact.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering Reliability to improve work delivery and plant availability.
• Identify system and component issues and engage specialists for corrective actions to achieve short and long term resolution.

Key requirements

• Minimum five years of experience in a similar position
