Senior Civil Engineer

Overview

Senior Civil Engineer sought to support water and infrastructure projects in the UK, focusing on civil design for flood risk, drainage, river engineering and reservoir schemes. You will lead or coordinate design packages, produce technical reports and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure compliance with standards. Responsibilities

• Design and deliver civil engineering packages for water and flood risk projects
• Provide technical input across drainage, river engineering and flood alleviation schemes
• Support design and development of reservoir-related projects
• Lead or coordinate civil design packages from concept to delivery
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, specifications and design documentation
• Collaborate with engineers, project teams, clients and external stakeholders
• Ensure designs comply with UK standards, regulations and project requirements

Key requirements

• Significant UK consultancy experience in civil engineering and the water sector
• Strong experience in flood risk, drainage, river engineering or flood alleviation schemes
• Understanding of reservoir projects and water-related infrastructure
• Experience designing, leading or delivering civil design packages
• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and report-writing abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary consultancy environment
• Availability to start in the near term (contract suitable for inside or outside scope)
