Overview
In this role you will support a leading international law firm’s London corporate team by handling high‑value private equity and corporate matters. You will work on cross‑border PE transactions, acquisitions, disposals and growth investments, collaborating with sponsors, portfolio companies and management teams. You will take on leadership in transaction management and client relationships, with strong progression potential within a premier practice. Responsibilities
- Advise on UK and cross‑border private equity acquisitions and disposals
- Lead leveraged buyouts and growth capital investments
- Handle portfolio company acquisitions, bolt‑ons and exits
- Coordinate auction sale processes and competitive bids
- Manage management equity incentive arrangements
- Deal with joint ventures, shareholder arrangements and restructurings
- Provide general corporate advisory for sponsor‑backed businesses and institutional clients
- Lead workstreams, manage junior lawyers, and oversee matters to successful completion
- Develop and maintain client relationships with partners and senior lawyers
Key requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ PQE in a leading City, international, or top corporate practice
- Significant experience in private equity transactions and M&A
- Strong drafting, negotiation and transaction management skills
- Experience leading workstreams and mentoring junior lawyers
- Excellent commercial awareness and ability to deliver pragmatic advice
- Outstanding communication and client relationship skills
