Overview

In this role you will drive quality by building and maintaining automated tests for UI and API layers within Agile teams delivering cloud-native applications. You will embed testing across the SDLC and support continuous delivery at enterprise scale, across WCAG-compliant accessibility, performance, and integration scenarios. This opportunity lets you shape robust automation frameworks and collaborate with developers, DevOps, BAs and product owners to ensure secure, reliable digital services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable UI and API automation frameworks
• Build automated test suites using Java, Selenium, REST Assured and Cucumber BDD
• Develop and execute functional, regression, integration and end-to-end automated tests
• Perform UI automation using Selenium WebDriver and Playwright
• Carry out API testing using REST Assured, Postman and Swagger
• Conduct accessibility testing to ensure WCAG compliance
• Support CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing throughout the development lifecycle
• Work closely with developers, DevOps engineers, BAs and Product Owners
• Contribute to performance and load testing using K6
• Support testing across AWS cloud environments and event-driven architectures

Key requirements

• Strong commercial experience with Java based test automation
• Hands on experience with Selenium WebDriver, REST Assured, Playwright and Cucumber BDD
• Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch
• Strong knowledge of UI and API automation best practices
• Experience testing REST APIs using Postman, Swagger and JSON/XML validation
• Experience across the full software testing lifecycle
• Knowledge of accessibility testing using tools such as WAVE, AXE DevTools and VoiceOver
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git and Maven
• Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies and Jira
• Exposure to AWS cloud technologies and Kafka
