Project Engineer – Fire

Overview

In this Project Engineer role, you will drive on-site fire system installations and quality control across South London sites. You will align installation work with BS 5839 standards, coordinate engineers and subcontractors, and support commissioning and client sign-off. You’ll produce clear technical documentation and ensure safety and compliance throughout projects. This is a hands-on position that combines field supervision with technical reporting to deliver reliable fire protection solutions for commercial environments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to uphold high standards and contribute to safer building environments.

Responsibilities

• On-site coordination with engineers and subcontractors
• Producing technical documentation and redlines
• Supporting commissioning and client sign-off
• Ensuring high standards of safety and compliance
• Overseeing installations and quality checks

Key requirements

• Strong fire alarm background (Advanced, Kentec, Gent, Notifier)
• Confident reading drawings
• Active site work experience
• Solid understanding of BS 5839
