As General Manager, lead a modern Build to Rent development in West London, overseeing on-site teams and daily operations. Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the on-site property management and lettings teams, setting objectives and managing performance
- Own health and safety compliance and ensure statutory requirements across the building
- Conduct regular building inspections and resolve compliance or management issues
- Collaborate with Facilities Management to oversee planned maintenance, contractors and compliance
- Oversee resident experience and resolve complex complaints; implement community initiatives
- Monitor local rental market and contribute to leasing, marketing and pricing strategy
- Manage site expenditure against budget and identify cost efficiencies and opportunities for additional income
- Build relationships with residents, commercial occupiers, contractors and other stakeholders
- Support the wider portfolio with site visits, mentoring, and contributing to operational strategy
- Participate in major building incident response with sound judgement
Key requirements
- Experience managing a residential property or similar complex operational environment
- Strong knowledge of health and safety compliance and complex building matters
- Experience leading and developing an onsite team
- Experience managing expenditure against budgets and interpreting site performance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organised approach to prioritising operational tasks
- Working knowledge of relevant IT systems
- Ability to commute reliably to West London
