Contracts Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead end-to-end management of government contracts within Salesforce’s Public Sector Legal team. You’ll ensure compliance with procurement laws and internal policies while negotiating amendments and SOWs. You’ll partner with Legal, Deal Strategy and government contract managers to mitigate risk and scale the public sector business. You’ll also train internal teams on procurement processes and drive process improvements. This is a high-visibility, strategic position at a company accelerating AI-driven customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end government contract lifecycle and ensure compliance with Procurement Act 2023 and related regulations
• Oversee contract execution, order conversions, pricing verifications, and related activities
• Coordinate with Accounts Payable/Receivable for invoicing and payments
• Collaborate with Legal and Deal Strategy to maintain product/pricing catalogs and resolve contract issues
• Guide internal stakeholders on public sector procurement and identify regulatory and financial risks with mitigation plans
• Evaluate existing corporate agreements to identify bottlenecks and propose scalable solutions
• Act as SME and deliver training on public sector procurement processes
• Drive continuous process improvements in legal workflows, contracting tools, and governance strategies

Key requirements

• 7–10+ years of government contracts experience in public sector or tech/software
• Regulatory expertise across Government Procurement Regulations, Procurement Regulations 2024, NSI Act 2021, CCS Agreements (G-Cloud, DOS, etc.), Sourcing Playbook, DD&T Playbook, Technology Code of Practice
• Industry focus in SaaS and professional services contracting
• Strong understanding of government financial workflows, pricing, invoicing and systems administration
• Knowledge of Government Security Classifications (GSC) and related compliance
• Excellent risk assessment, business judgment and stakeholder management
• Proven ability to build trust with internal clients and government contracting personnel
