Overview
In this role you will lead technical strategy and solution development for significant Workplace deals, shaping customer outcomes with integrated technology solutions. You will act as a trusted expert across Workplace domains while aligning with partners and delivery teams to ensure deliverable, high-quality propositions. You’ll engage with senior stakeholders, translate business needs into actionable roadmaps, and contribute to the evolution of Workplace strategy. This senior, individual-contributor position emphasizes influence, credibility and cross-functional collaboration to drive adoption and market relevance.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical strategy and solution development for major Workplace opportunities
- Support strategic bids, competitive pursuits and framework responses
- Own solution quality and governance during customer engagements
- Act as technical solution authority and thought leader through the sales lifecycle
- Design end-to-end Workplace solutions aligned to customer outcomes
- Develop integrated propositions spanning multiple technology domains
- Ensure designs align with standards, partner roadmaps and best practices
- Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure implementability and supportability
- Contribute to reference architectures, reusable assets and blueprints
- Engage with customer stakeholders from technical teams to CIO/CTO level
- Facilitate discovery workshops, executive briefings and strategic planning
- Translate requirements into clear technology roadmaps and solutions
- Present and defend recommendations to decision-makers
- Build trusted adviser relationships with customer technology leaders
- Provide thought leadership across Intelligent Endpoints, Copilot, Collaboration, Smart Spaces, Digital Employee Experience, analytics and more
- Maintain awareness of adjacent technologies (Cyber Security, Networking, Cloud, Data/AI, Automation)
- Support pipeline creation, campaigns and propositions
- Identify opportunities and market trends
- Assist sales in account growth strategies
- Contribute to market positioning and GTM activity
- Mentor Workplace Specialists, Architects and Consultants without formal HR responsibility
- Share best practices and reusable assets across the team
- Support technical capability development and accreditation initiatives
- Contribute to recruitment through technical interviews
- Drive consistency and quality across solution design
- Foster collaboration, innovation and continuous learning
Key requirements
- 7-10+ years in Workplace Solutions, End User Computing, Digital Workplace or enterprise IT
- Experience in presales, solution architecture or consulting
- Experience supporting large enterprise and public sector organisations
- Proven track record of delivering complex technology solutions
- Customer-facing technical leadership experience
- Demonstrable commercial awareness and bid support experience
- Ability to work across multiple technologies and stakeholder groups
- Strong expertise in multiple Workplace domains and broad portfolio knowledge
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Copilot, Intune, Windows Enterprise; Apple and Android frontline/mobile solutions
- Endpoint management, VDI, device lifecycle services
- Digital Employee Experience platforms and analytics
- Collaboration, meetings tech, hybrid workplace solutions
- Security, identity and access management
- ServiceNow, workflow automation and cloud-based Workplace services
- Understanding of Cyber Security, Networking, Cloud Infrastructure, Data/AI, Automation and Managed Services
