Overview
As an Electrical Engineer in AECOM’s Scottish Water-focused Water Team, you help shape resilient water and wastewater infrastructure. You will work with cross-disciplinary engineers to deliver feasibility, design, and construction support for large-scale projects like the SR27 Enterprise. You’ll contribute to design reviews and field surveys, supporting clients and partners to achieve sustainable outcomes. This role offers hybrid working and opportunities to influence delivery at scale across Scotland.

Responsibilities
- Prepare feasibility studies, outline design, detailed design and construction support
- Design and review electrical and ICA elements in water and wastewater projects (e.g., dosing, pumping, sludge treatment)
- Produce and review client deliverables (calculations, drawings, reports)
- Collaborate with civil, electrical, process and mechanical teams nationwide
- Visit sites for surveys and liaise with clients, contractors and suppliers
- Participate in design review meetings (HAZOPs, HAZIDs, SWIFTS)
Key requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Progress towards Chartered Engineer status (e.g., IET)
- Experience delivering engineering designs, reports, drawings, specs, and calculations
