Overview

In this role you will lead safe, high‑quality delivery of large utilities projects within the AMP8 programme, aligning with client vision and governance. You will drive end‑to‑end programme management, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement while fostering collaboration and continuous improvement. You shape strategy and delivery across reservoir infrastructure, water and recycling initiatives, contributing to sustainable value for clients and communities. This is a mission‑critical, impact‑oriented position that combines leadership, safety culture and cross‑functional coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Manage safe, compliant project delivery and champion wellbeing and inclusive culture
  • Oversee end‑to‑end programme management aligned with client vision and milestones
  • Own budgets, ensure ethical, sustainable outcomes and guide long‑term direction
  • Develop and empower teams, promote collaboration and best‑practice across stakeholders
  • Coordinate end‑to‑end delivery to meet timeframes, budgets and expectations
  • Foster cross‑team collaboration among client, consultant and contractor groups and manage governance
  • Provide strategic leadership and continuous improvement aligned with Mace’s priorities

Key requirements

  • RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent professional development
  • Extensive delivery experience in the utilities sector
  • Strong property or infrastructure project management expertise
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen
  • Leadership and management of large, diverse teams
  • Experience managing relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape projects
