Job Description:

Overview

In this role you will support the smooth departure of clients from the firm, ensuring assets and cash are released accurately and in line with procedures. You will work with Investment Managers and Front Office teams to onboard robust controls and timely closures. You will monitor leaver workflows, resolve issues, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This is a hybrid London role with exposure to cross-functional collaboration and intelligent tooling to enhance service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage client leaver and account closure workflows
  • Review and authorise outgoing client payments per procedures and authority levels
  • Coordinate with Investment Managers, Front Office and Operations to facilitate timely departures
  • Investigate and resolve issues delaying asset or cash release
  • Ensure client records are updated accurately after closure
  • Maintain strong controls ensuring regulatory and internal compliance
  • Escalate risks, exceptions and aged items as appropriate
  • Support management information and workflow monitoring
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and standardisation
  • Utilise approved digital, automation and AI-enabled tools with appropriate oversight
  • Contribute to development and enhancement of procedures, templates and controls
  • Cross-train with the wider Custody & Nominees team

Key requirements

  • 2-3 years experience in a Financial Services Operations role
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Passion for continuous improvement and identifying efficient ways of working
  • Strong problem-solving and investigative skills
  • Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive and collaborative approach
  • Ability to work accurately in a controlled environment
