Finance Systems Accounting Analyst

Overview

As Finance Systems Accounting Analyst you will support the Group Head of Finance Systems to optimize and govern Arup’s global finance platforms. You will enable end users to get the most from ERP, payroll, and treasury systems through functional support, governance, and modern controls. You will collaborate across teams on developments, deliver training, and contribute to the finance system change program aligned with Arup’s Global Finance Vision. This role offers exposure to a broad, international finance ecosystem and meaningful system improvements.

Responsibilities

• Provide functional support for finance platforms and troubleshoot user issues
• Collaborate on new developments and lead or support UAT activities
• Design system solutions based on user requirements aligned to strategic goals
• Deliver user training and contribute to process improvement
• Maintain documentation and change control across systems
• Monitor regulatory shifts and assess impact on systems
• Manage access controls and ensure accurate data
• Define and maintain data structures and hierarchies
• Triage inquiries and prioritize requests; report progress to stakeholders
• Support wider initiatives led by the Group Head of Finance Systems

Key requirements

• Solid understanding of Finance systems and how they function across Finance
• Experience in a Finance environment and awareness of finance processes, reporting, and systems
• Experience in an international/complex setting
• Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and translate into action
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Collaborative mindset and good judgement with stakeholder engagement
• Ability to develop training materials and communications for change management
• Clear written, verbal, and presentational communication
• Customer focus and ability to balance priorities and deadlines
• Accounting qualification or experience in Finance system administration is a plus
