Overview

In this role you will support the delivery of multiple construction and engineering projects within Amey’s Nuclear Restoration Services. You will act as the site presence, coordinating activities with contractors and stakeholders to keep work on time, safe and compliant. You’ll gain exposure to major nuclear decommissioning projects and help shape delivery through proactive risk management and reporting. The position offers hands-on project exposure in a highly regulated environment and opportunities for career growth.

Responsibilities

  • Support the successful delivery of multiple concurrent projects
  • Act as site presence, coordinating day-to-day activities and contractor operations
  • Monitor progress against programme and escalate risks or delays
  • Coordinate contractors and supply chain to ensure safe and efficient delivery
  • Carry out site inspections, safety observations and quality checks
  • Review RAMS, permits to work and construction records
  • Support daily briefings, toolbox talks and contractor coordination meetings
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements
  • Assist with project reporting, documentation, programme updates and performance tracking
  • Support changes management including Early Warnings and Compensation Events
  • Build positive relationships with clients, designers and wider project team
  • Champion zero code and promote behavioural safety culture on site

Key requirements

  • NVQ Level 4 in Construction Site Supervision (or equivalent) or QCF Level 6 in Construction Site Management (or equivalent)
  • CSCS Card
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Experience supporting construction, engineering or facilities management projects
  • Strong understanding of health, safety and compliance in live operational environments
  • Excellent organisation, planning and communication skills
  • Experience coordinating contractors and multiple stakeholders
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
