Overview

As Senior Procurement Lead in Wise’s Third Party Management team, you will shape how we buy goods and services to unlock maximum value. You will build and execute long-term procurement strategies, partner with business stakeholders, and lead a small team to deliver cost reductions and sustainable sourcing. This is a hands-on role in a fast-growing, global environment where you’ll drive data-driven decisions and scalable procurement processes. You’ll help make Wise’s purchases align with commercial goals and risk management, enabling the mission to move money without borders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop long-term procurement strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Lead and coach a small team of procurement professionals
  • Act as main procurement partner to the business and build strong stakeholder relationships
  • Facilitate cross-department alignment on procurement strategies
  • Drive cost reductions and spend optimization; assess total cost of ownership
  • Evaluate suppliers using quality, price, and reliability criteria
  • Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation or renegotiation
  • Contribute to risk mitigation and contingency planning for supply chains
  • Promote sustainable and ethical sourcing and regulatory compliance
  • Advocate for innovative procurement technologies and process automation
  • Mentor team members and foster continuous improvement
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and introduce improvements
  • Operate with a high level of integrity and transparent processes
  • Maintain compliance with internal policies and external regulations

Key requirements

  • Experience leading commercial strategies for categories within scope (People & Workplace)
  • Financial services or fintech experience preferred
  • Track record delivering cost savings, supplier consolidation, and cash management improvements
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across cross-functional teams
  • Ability to advise on and report risks with practical mitigation solutions
  • Proficiency with sourcing tools, market analysis, and end-to-end procurement processes
  • Ability to distill complex sourcing scenarios and influence stakeholders
  • Project management skills with multiple initiatives simultaneously
