Procurement Category Manager – Warehousing & Distribution

Overview

In this role you drive procurement for distribution and logistics, focusing on cost savings, resilience, and sustainability. You act as a strategic partner to regional teams, shape category strategies, and manage supplier performance across warehousing, transport, and customs services. You will lead sustainability and efficiency initiatives with external partners within the IM&S Global Procurement Team. The position supports LEGO’s global growth in manufacturing and distribution, with a flexible location in Billund or London.

Responsibilities

• Lead company-wide cost initiatives in distribution and logistics spend with partners, finance, and suppliers
• Act as Procurement Business Partner for regional management for annual category planning and network development
• Develop and implement supplier relationship management strategies with clear objectives and outcomes
• Negotiate and maintain logistics contracts (warehousing, transportation, customs)
• Build market insights and translate them into category strategies
• Manage contracting, negotiations, risk management, and supplier performance across a global supplier base
• Drive sustainability and efficiency initiatives with external partners

Key requirements

• Global/Regional procurement category management experience
• Understanding of procurement processes and distribution/warehousing vendor landscape
• Experience in Supplier Relationship Management
• Skills in negotiating complex agreements
• Knowledge of contractual terms and regulations
• Awareness of sustainability and automation trends
• Ability to analyze market insights and convert them into strategies
• Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
