Overview
In this role you will lead planning and materials management for Renishaw’s Assembly Business Units across multiple sites, underpinning growth, service levels, and performance. You’ll collaborate with Assembly Managers and supply functions to align demand, capacity, and inventory through a robust planning process. You will manage a team of planners and material controllers, driving continuous improvement in stock flow and deliverability. The position offers cross-site impact, stakeholder influence, and a chance to shape planning governance in a dynamic engineering environment.

Responsibilities
- Lead planning and materials management across multiple manufacturing sites
- Manage and coach a team of planners and material controllers
- Ensure materials are available to support production plans and commitments
- Monitor demand, capacity and inventory; identify risks and implement solutions
- Develop planning processes, governance and performance measures
- Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, logistics and warehousing teams
- Drive continuous improvement across planning, stock management and material flow
Key requirements
- Experience in planning, materials management, supply chain or manufacturing operations in an engineering or high-technology environment
- Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, capacity planning, inventory management and production scheduling
- Experience leading teams and influencing stakeholders across a complex organisation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate data into business decisions
