Overview

In this role you will own the Checkout experience end-to-end, shaping strategy, roadmap, and delivery for Paddle’s flagship product. You will work closely with engineering, design, and leadership to drive conversion, revenue, and customer trust at scale. The role blends hands-on product leadership with cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Solutions, Risk, and Exco. You’ll lead prioritisation, discovery standards, and data-driven decision making to deliver high-impact, high-visibility initiatives. This is a chance to influence company strategy through a critical fintech platform.

Responsibilities

  • Own long-term vision and strategy for Checkout and translate it into a defendable roadmap for Exco and customers
  • Make and defend tough prioritisation calls balancing technical, commercial, compliance, and UX factors
  • Set discovery and prioritisation standards for the Payments group and mentor other PMs
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex initiatives with defined discovery, specs, experiments, and launch quality
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and design to ship rapidly and iterate on real customer signals
  • Run ongoing optimisation programs (A/B tests, beta programs, usability research) to improve conversion
  • Own Checkout KPIs (conversion, authorisation rates, revenue impact, NPS) and weave them into business strategy
  • Dynamically analyse data, form hypotheses, and make recommendations without waiting for an analyst
  • Influence pricing, GTM, risk policy, and settlement through product data
  • Align senior stakeholders around Checkout strategy and craft compelling written narratives for decision making
  • Oversee GTM for launches across segments and geographies, shaping a customer-centric culture

Key requirements

  • Experience owning high-stakes, end-to-end products with clear business impact
  • Hands-on payments/checkout or consumer fintech experience at scale
  • Proven track record shipping high-volume, consumer-facing products with measurable wins
  • Technical credibility with engineers (systems, APIs, trade-offs)
  • Data-fluent and metrics-driven with ability to run analyses end-to-end
  • Proficient in using AI tools for research, writing, analysis, and prototyping
  • Background in scale-up or startup environments with ambiguity
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English
  • Comfortable managing tough trade-offs across multiple stakeholders
  • Preference for in-person collaboration over fully remote work
