Engineering Manager

Overview

In this role you will drive engineering assurance and governance across the AGS delivery scope, ensuring construction aligns with designs, standards, and HS2 requirements. You will provide technical leadership for station packages and manage risk and design changes throughout the project lifecycle. Collaboration with design consultants, construction teams and subcontractors will be key to resolving site issues promptly. This is a chance to shape complex infrastructure delivery on iconic projects within a safety- and quality-focused culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering assurance and governance across the AGS delivery scope
• Ensure construction activities follow approved designs, engineering standards, HS2 requirements and statutory obligations
• Provide technical leadership for conventional station packages (structural steel, roofing, facades, glazing, doors, rail interfaces, temporary works)
• Manage engineering risks, assumptions, constraints and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle
• Coordinate engineering activities between design consultants, construction teams and subcontractors
• Lead technical resolution of site issues, RFIs, NCRs and design change proposals

Key requirements

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Engineering or related discipline
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or demonstrable progression towards chartership
• CSCS Card
