Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical building services design from concept to completion
- Oversee multiple projects across sectors ensuring quality and timely delivery
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers at all levels
- Act as a primary client contact and maintain strong relationships
- Review designs, specifications, and project documentation
- Attend client meetings, design reviews, and site inspections
- Support team management, resourcing, and project planning
- Contribute to business development and identify new opportunities
Key requirements
- Degree or HND in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
- Chartered Engineer status (or close to achieving)
- Extensive experience in a building services consultancy
- Strong track record delivering mechanical design across multiple sectors
- Experience leading projects and mentoring engineers
- Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and industry standards
- Proficiency with design software such as IES, Hevacomp, and AutoCAD (Revit beneficial)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage client relationships
- Commercial awareness and ability to contribute to business growth
