FX Options Trader

Overview

In this role you will manage FX option risk and price vanilla and exotic products to Citi’s franchise. You will work with the Trading team and coordinate with Sales, Research, and other desks to drive revenues while maintaining strong governance. You’ll anticipate client demand, balance risk and reward, and uphold Citi’s risk controls and Code of Conduct. This is a high-impact role focused on pricing, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration to grow the trading book.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a trading book and generate revenues while managing risk
• Coordinate with Sales, Research, CMand and other Markets/Securities Services units
• Trade a book to meet budgeted revenues and manage associated risk
• Establish and maintain relationships to facilitate trades for the desk
• Anticipate client demand and coordinate with desk analysts and sales
• Lead governance and controls with Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance
• Assess risk/reward of transactions and uphold firm reputation and ethics
• Maintain compliance with Citi Code of Conduct and regulatory supervision requirements
• Obtain and maintain required registrations/licenses for the role

Key requirements

• 3-7 years of related experience
• Knowledge of relevant products and clients
• Required licensing and registrations as applicable
• Advanced analytical and numerical ability
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder relationships
• Ability to analyze and pitch situations to counterparties
• Knowledge of Bloomberg, booking systems, trading protocol, and closing technicalities
