Sales Engineer UK and Ireland

Overview

In this role you support the sales and product teams by developing high-impact technical materials, negotiating contract terms, and capturing customer requirements to influence product roadmaps. You will help ensure compliant engineered designs and address technical challenges across the EMEA region. The position combines hands-on technical work with customer-facing deal support in a collaborative, growth-focused culture. You’ll travel regionally to engage key clients and drive Fluence’s strategic energy targets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage high-impact sales tools and technical support materials
• Collaborate with Sales to resolve technical aspects of customer contracts
• Capture customer technical and application requirements to shape product roadmaps
• Support engineered designs to meet local codes, regulations, and standards
• Identify and resolve technical deviations with cross-functional teams
• Travel across the EMEA region to support client engagements and project initiatives

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience
• Experience in power, renewable energy, or BESS industry
• Proven ability to solve complex technical problems and communicate results to diverse stakeholders
• Experience in offer management or technical contract review
• Hands-on experience with CRM and engineering tools (e.g., Salesforce, CAD)
• Knowledge of local standards, codes, and energy regulations
• Strong ownership and ability to manage multiple tasks
• Excellent coordination and interpersonal communication skills
• Fluency in written and spoken English
