Senior/Principal Civil Engineer – Airfield Team

Overview

In this Senior/Principal Civil Engineer role, you will contribute to Ramboll’s aviation airfield projects, leading civil design and project delivery across all stages. You join a specialist airfield civils team based in Chester with flexible location, and you’ll support growth across civil and military clients. You will tackle design challenges with sustainable, innovative solutions while mentoring junior staff. Expect opportunities to travel and work on high-impact infrastructure. You’ll play a key part in shaping resilient, compliant aviation civil infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Project Management
• Civil design at all RIBA stages for traditional and design and build procurement
• Management of project cost and budget
• Management of project risk and opportunity
• Support and development of junior staff

Key requirements

• Civil Engineering degree
• Chartered engineer or working towards chartership
• Extensive experience delivering civil engineering services across all RIBA work stages
• Experience in technical and feasibility studies including site investigations
• Experience delivering design of new civil infrastructure
• Experience in alterations to existing civil infrastructure
• Experience with Eurocode and UK Building Regulations
• Understanding of CDM 2015 including Principal Designer role
