Overview
In this role you will lead pensions-focused dispute work within a national Commercial Dispute Resolution team, based in Bristol, Birmingham, or Manchester with hybrid working. You will manage a varied portfolio under Partner oversight, advise on disputes across litigation, arbitration, and mediation, and help grow the firm’s pensions expertise. You’ll collaborate with Partners and the national Pensions team, drive business development, and mentor junior colleagues. This is a growth-focused opportunity in a leading practice with strong client exposure.

Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of disputes with Partner oversight
- Provide specialist pensions litigation support and develop the firm’s pensions expertise
- Collaborate with Partners, the national team, and the Pensions group
- Lead business development activities, including pitches, tenders, and client relationship building
- Train, supervise, and mentor junior team members
- Contribute to the team’s national service delivery and cross-office collaboration
Key requirements
- Minimum 3 years PQE in Commercial Dispute Resolution
- Specialism in pensions litigation and disputes (professional negligence, rectification, complex member complaints)
- Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills
- Self-motivated with ability to manage workloads and deadlines
- Commercially aware with an appetite for business development
- Client-focused with ability to nurture long-standing relationships
- Willingness to contribute to mentoring and development of junior staff
