Overview
In this role, you join a Reading-based Real Estate team to handle a mix of public and private sector property work, focusing on retail leases, development matters, and high-value transactions. You will support senior fee-earners, manage a varied workload, and develop client relationships in a fast-paced environment. The role provides autonomy and opportunities to contribute to business development while sharpening technical and commercial skills. You will work closely with cross-functional colleagues to drive successful property deals and due diligence. Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate contracts, leases, and transfers; review title and raise enquiries
- Liaise with counterpart lawyers and attend meetings
- Support senior fee-earners on high-value transactions
- Handle due diligence and development-related matters, including mixed-use projects
- Contribute to business development and client relationship-building
- Manage a varied workload with autonomy and strong client contact
- Communicate complex legal issues clearly to clients and colleagues
