Overview
In this Quantitative Analyst role, you will drive data-based innovation by developing and operationalising Data Science models and interfaces. You’ll work with a global team of experts to design and maintain energy pricing models and Dash applications that support trading and operations. You will bridge domain knowledge with model development, communicating insights to diverse stakeholders. This position offers opportunities to shape analytics in major energy and chemicals markets while traveling as needed.

Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance Python (Dash) applications to integrate Data Science models with human-in-the-loop workflows
- Co-develop quantitative market models and support their deployment, including cloud-based automation
- Explain models and insights to market experts, translating domain knowledge into model logic
- Improve codebase and backend data architectures for operational models
- Develop, test, and roll out new app functionality per product owner prioritization
- Manage operational models and live services with monitoring and refactoring
- Review code, ensure documentation, and enable fast prototyping and demos
- Expand knowledge by learning new techniques and sharing findings with peers
Key requirements
- 3–5 years of practical software engineering experience, preferably in markets/prices
- Excellent Python skills and Dash experience
- Professional use of version control in multi-developer projects
- Experience with containerized applications and cloud platforms (AWS)
- Data handling and data modeling with relational databases (PostgreSQL)
- Ability to explain complex topics to diverse stakeholders and demonstrate business value
- Desirable exposure to Data Analytics/Data Science and analytics/forecasting projects with human/machine collaboration
