Financial Accountant

Overview

In this Financial Accountant role, you will own key financial reporting and maintain robust controls within an established manufacturing business. You will work closely with senior finance leaders to deliver accurate statutory statements, supporting month-end, year-end, and audits while driving continuous improvement. The role involves multi-entity intercompany accounting, tax compliance support, and partnering with stakeholders to provide insightful accounting. This hands-on position offers impact across reporting, controls, and process optimization in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory financial statements and disclosures
• Support month-end, year-end and external audit activities
• Maintain and review balance sheet reconciliations and controls
• Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliations across multiple entities
• Support corporation tax compliance, tax reporting and regulatory submissions
• Liaise with external advisers and auditors as required
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, controls and reporting
• Document key finance procedures and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Partner with stakeholders across finance and the wider business to provide accounting support and insight

Key requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Experience in financial accounting and statutory reporting
• Strong balance sheet reconciliation and financial control experience
• Knowledge of intercompany accounting and multi-entity environments
• Exposure to tax compliance and regulatory reporting
• ERP systems experience and strong Excel skills
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Hands-on in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Able to hit the ground running and take ownership from outset
