Overview
In this role you design, implement and maintain a scalable AWS-based cloud infrastructure to support microservices, focusing on EKS, Kubernetes, and IaC. You collaborate to ensure reliable deployments, observability, and cost optimization while handling day-2 operations and security. You’ll influence cloud architecture at Entrust within a globally distributed environment and cutting-edge tech stack. Responsibilities
- design, implement and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS for microservices
- manage and operate EKS clusters and Kubernetes environments
- build and maintain IaC using Terraform or OpenTofu
- configure and maintain monitoring and observability with SPLUNK and Datadog
- manage CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) and automation scripts
- develop and maintain automation using Bash and Python for operations
- perform day-2 operations (upgrades, backup/restore, cost optimization) and disaster recovery considerations
- collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable cloud services
Key requirements
- 8+ years in IT infrastructure or related field
- at least 3+ years of AWS cloud experience
- deep knowledge of Kubernetes and AWS EKS
- strong understanding of EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, CloudWatch
- experience with SPLUNK and Datadog
- IaC experience with Terraform or OpenTofu
- hands-on experience managing EKS environments
- experience with Istio and service mesh integration
- CI/CD experience (Jenkins or similar) and scripting (Bash, Python)
- excellent communication and collaboration skills
- experience with day-2 operations and cost optimization
- AWS certifications are a plus
