Overview

In this program, you will join Citi’s Markets team in London to develop and apply quantitative models, price and manage risk across asset classes, and collaborate with traders and salespeople. You’ll participate in a structured training path with senior mentors, shaping your career in quantitative analysis and structuring. The role blends research, model development, and client-facing product solutions aligned with Citi’s risk framework. This is a growth-focused, cross-functional entry into global markets with hands-on impact from day one.

Responsibilities

  • Create, implement, and manage mathematical models for Markets
  • Price, trade, and manage risk of diverse market products
  • Collaborate with traders and salespeople to address client needs
  • Develop new products aligned with the firm’s risk framework
  • Market new products to sales teams and occasionally present to clients
  • Respond to client-specific requests for product solutions using your expertise

Key requirements

  • Double Masters or PhD in Engineering, Maths, Physics, Computer Science or other scientific disciplines
  • Good understanding of finance and interest in Markets
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Programming knowledge in VBA and Python (highly desirable)
  • Excellent interpersonal, detail-oriented, and organizational skills
  • Intellectually curious and proactive, able to work independently and in teams
  • Commitment to integrity and ethical decision-making
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
