Project Controls Engineer

Overview

In this role you will support project controls for major infrastructure programs, developing and delivering progress, outputs, and earned value reports. You will assist the Project Control Manager and Planning Manager to ensure effective control, forecasting, and risk handling. You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders and contribute to robust data-driven project performance. This is a contributor role aimed at ensuring timely delivery within contract and client expectations, leveraging your planning and reporting expertise.

• Schedule development and management
• Resource planning and management

• Use document control system to optimise information distribution
• Support EVA establishment and ensure monthly reporting accuracy
• Ensure client reporting requirements are met
• Monitor cash flows with commercial team
• Maintain open and honest reporting with all parties
• Understand contract conditions and ensure timescales are achieved
• Participate in managing project risk register and assign owners
• Implement environment and sustainability policy requirements on the project

Key requirements

• Thorough understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) terminology and practice
• High proficiency in P6 Planning and Control Software
• Knowledge of Engineering and Construction Industry
• Competent IT skills including MS Excel for data manipulation and templates
• Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint including SharePoint Lists
• Ability to interpret data and drive business process improvements
• Experience using data visualization tool Microsoft Power BI to create dashboards
