Overview
In this role, you will commission, service, and repair critical cooling equipment across diverse sites, with a focus on data centres. You’ll travel UK-wide and undergo training in Italy while collaborating with installers and a specialist team. You’ll diagnose issues, ensure safety and compliance, and provide reliable on-site support to sustain critical cooling operations. Responsibilities
- Commission and startup of new cooling systems
- Maintenance, service, and repair of chilled water, DX, economiser, In-row, perimeter, and containment cooling systems
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Supervise installation contractors and ensure best practices
- Work in critical environments, including data centres
- Utilise specialist software and applications for analysis and reporting
- Adhere to safety, compliance, and reporting procedures
- Participate in an on-call rota (1 in 5 weeks)
Key requirements
- F-Gas qualified and fully certified (City & Guilds Level 2+, NVQ, HNC in Refrigeration/Air Conditioning)
- Previous experience in critical cooling service roles
- Strong knowledge of critical cooling systems (data centre experience preferred)
- Turbo Core experience is advantageous
- Confident using technical software and system diagnostics tools
- Full UK driving licence (company van provided)
- Willingness to travel UK-wide and complete training in Italy (Padua)
