Overview
In this industrial placement, you join Arup’s water team to help shape policy, regulatory and asset management decisions. You’ll work across strategy, regulation, resilience, investment planning and engineering to deliver advisory insights for city and infrastructure clients. The role offers training, thought leadership and opportunities to engage with clients and cross-functional experts. You’ll contribute to sustainable, long-term water solutions within a global network, making a meaningful impact on clients and communities.

Responsibilities
- Contribute to policy, regulatory, asset management and engineering advisory for city/infrastructure clients
- Assist in developing strategy and investment planning analyses for water projects
- Support resilience and sustainability assessments across the water sector
- Engage in client engagement and potential business development activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Arup’s global network
- Participate in training, thought leadership and project-specific work
Key requirements
- Pursuing Bachelor or Masters/post-graduate degree in a water-related discipline
- Course accredited by ICE, CIWEM or equivalent
- Interest in water sector, regulation, business planning and long-term investment
- Motivation to address climate resilience, environmental improvement, water security and sustainability
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with data interpretation
- Ability to balance technical, environmental, social, economic and regulatory factors
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork in small project teams
